Robert Mapplethorpe photographing Lisa Lyon

Lisa Lyon (* 1953 in Los Angeles), first world champion of the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness in 1979, later performance artist. 
Robert Mapplethorpe (1946–1989) portrays Lisa Lyon between 1980 and 1983. Roger Fritz documents one of the last shootings in a New York loft. 1983 Mapplethorpe's illustrated book "Lady Lisa Lyon" is published. One of the photographs from Roger Fritz's documentary appears in 1999 in the Anniversary Portfolio "25 Years Schirmer / Mosel". This photo edition shows a previously unpublished motif from the Mapplethorpe/Fritz collaboration.
